Fun real life memories, all through growing up together.

Similar social context

I am much closer to them because I can build lasting connections more easily in person - nothing can really replace face to face conversation,

The usually live closer than my online friends so I can hang out with them in real life and chat and do some fun activities. Also we have certain things in common (a lot of friends are coworkers or people from my studygroup)

My online friends are people I met recently, while my offline friends are people I know for a long time. My long time friends might not play the same games as me, or not on the same time. Meeting them is always an oppointment. Some of my online friends have the same schedule as me.

Irl interactions

Closer support as they know me better due to growing up together.

get to physically hang out

We go to activities together and can spend longer amounts of time together

being able to go have fun together irl and also being able to hug them and get them gifts :)

Most my offline friends drifted away but seeing someone there is something nice about seeing someone in person: Body Language, hugs, expressions, really knowing someone.

I will say that I have met some off my 'online friends' though.

physically being together just feels different

I can see them face-to-face and we can discuss more personal aspects of our lives with each other

The physically meeting each other and talking. The one on one time. I can call my online friends and get one to one but I just can't show up unannounced at their doorstep and say I am hungry.

Deep personal connection, history of jokes
