They are nicer, and better, idk

Easier access. Similar cultural experiences

theyre always there, are non-judgemental and we share the interest that we met from

We share more interests.

More perspectives, more experiences

I spend more time with my online friends than I do with my offline ones

anonymity in a way. there's no risk in telling them quite personal things because they don't know the people and locations involved, and i can harmlessly talk judgementally about their exes and ex friends because i know jackshit about them except for what my online friend has told me

I can tell them some things, that i can't tell my irl friends

Interests specific to my own

Same

Memes

nothing really, they provided I think the same things as offline friends

(also to the above, it takes me a long time to call anyone a friend, and online just makes it a bit harder, because I have never met them irl)

more objectivity of opinions about my life experience

They offer pretty much the same as my offline friends and that's the best part. The only difference is not being able to see them in person and do in person activities.

Better communication, more understanding

Ability to present myself as the person I want to be without preconceptions, ability to be more honest with them without fear of judgement or "real-world" repercussions.

they're easier to talk to

I can keep my anonymity

Simpatico beliefs, worldview

Mostly shared interests. My irl friends don’t want to read my horny fanfiction/I wouldn’t let them. It’s more of just straight sharing ideas than other friendships
